"Preference or Conviction?"
Jack Hafer is a preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ who has been
spreading the good news for over 35 years. He became a Christian
himself in his college years. Shortly thereafter he married his wife Ann,
whom he met while preaching at a congregation in Portland, Oregon.
He ministered with church at Coeur d’Alene, Idaho for 14 years, and
with the church at South Salem, Oregon for another 20 years. The father
of three, Jack currently works with his son-in-law, who is a full-time
preacher at the Dallas, Oregon congregation.
Jack began his Bible study in earnest when he moved to Kirkland,
Washington to study under Lowell Williams. His passion for evangelism
was instilled in him by Norton Dye, whom Jack worked with at the
church in Clovis, California. Seeking the lost has taken him on mission
trips to Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Chile,
and the Philippines.
Having a love for the outdoors, Jack loves to hike, camp, and
photograph God’s creation. “When standing on the rim of Mt St. Helens,
and peering into tender wildflower, I am reminded that all is okay
because our God is in charge of all.”
